Join Us For Kids4Truth at Grace Baptist Church of Tempe, Arizona

Sundays, 6:00-7:00 P.M.

The Kids4Truth Clubs are an exciting way for local churches to teach boys and girls 120 of the most important truths of Scripture in an understandable, useful, and memorable way.

Our K4T Club will include fun, games, music, and most importantly, the awesome opportunity to learn the Word of God in a unique way!  Don’t miss your chance to earn awards and participate in this great club.

Kids4Truth Clubs will be provided for children ages 3 years – 8th Grade.

On Sunday mornings, our church family is studying the book of Romans.   In the first chapter, Paul gives the reason for his writing and the main theme of the entire book.

Romans 1:15-17 So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.

The theme of the book of Romans is the good news of the Gospel, for in it we find the righteousness that comes from God and the glorious truth that God justifies the guilty by grace alone through faith in Christ alone.

We invite you to join us each Sunday morning as we walk our way through the most precious truths of the Christian faith.

We have encouraged our church family to write short articles for our blog.  The following is from Sanford Culver.

Many people talk about how bad this nation is and how it became this bad.  All people need to do is go to Washington DC, where they can see the Ten Commandments posted above the Supreme Court. Also look at the words and symbols that adorn the buildings, memorials, and statues in our nation’s Capital.  Most speak of God and their thankfulness to Him for His blessing on our nation.

These people should also read many of the works of our founding fathers. Some did not live as they should and some were not even Christians, but they still asked His blessing on this nation.  He did just that.

Now God is mocked and cursed; His Word is rejected. Those who reject Him say, “We know better than God— we know what is good for us. We want to do it our way.” Our way has led us to the depravity of the past five or six decades.  The Bible says…

Prov.14:12 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death

Isa. 55:8,  For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.

Prov.14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

The point of the book James is not to show us the standard that we must try through our own strength to emulate, but to drive us to the point of genuine repentance.

James 4:8-10  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.  Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

It is only when we agree with God about our true condition that He will lift us up.

Praise God for His grace.
